Outreach Session on NPO Corporate Governance
The Registrar of NPOs held an outreach session on NPO corporate governance the evening of 15 October, 2020 in the Government Administration Building.
During the session, Head of Compliance Paul Inniss addressed dozens of local NPOs on the Registrar’s supervisory duties, the most recent NPO risk assessment and the use of onsite inspections (including trends and the overall process). Mr Inniss also provided attendees with guidance regarding internal controls and financial management.
Presentations were also made by Government’s Anti-Money Laundering Steering Group, with Deputy National Coordinator Justine Plenkiewicz speaking on the risks of terrorist financing.
